Porto Airport Taxi

Porto Airport is an international commercial airport located in northern Portugal near the city of Porto. It is the second largest commercial airport in the country after Lisbon Airport. It was named after former Portuguese Prime Minister Francisco Sá Carneiro, who died in a crash on a flight to Porto. It serves as a hub for TAP Air Portugal.

Location and transport connections

Porto airport is located about 11 kilometers northwest of the city center in Pedras Rubras, which is part of the urban area of Maia. It has been directly connected to Porto via Line E of the Metro do Porto since 2006.

Passenger terminal

​

It has a single passenger terminal, opened in 1990. The check-in area, with an elevated road as access, is located on the 3rd floor. After passing through the central security checkpoint with four lines, passengers are directed to the departure area on the 2nd floor. This area covers the entire width of the terminal and contains the gate waiting areas, shopping facilities and food and beverage outlets. The jetways each have a ramp to both the second floor departure area and the second floor arrival area. On the second floor, arriving passengers are guided through corridors to the central arrivals area and then proceed to the first floor. The baggage carousels are located there. Behind the customs control is the public part of the first floor with various service providers, the cab stand and bus connections. The metro station is directly opposite the arrivals area and is connected to it by a glass canopy.
